Miriam School provides life changing education to vulnerable children in Amalapuram, India. We believe good quality, progressive education is critical to breaking the cycle of poverty. Our aim is to equip students with valuable skills, critical thinking and spiritual discipleship so they can become good citizens that practice compassion for others.

Without child sponsorship support, children like Pammi face a lifetime of poverty.

Girls like Pammi often drop out of school because they are given the role of looking after younger siblings and household duties. 

Without schooling, Pammi will take up the responsibility of chores and household duties and as a girl, she may never return to school without child sponsorship. Her lack of education also makes her more vulnerable to issues including gender-based violence, child marriage and early pregnancy. 

Fortunately, last year Pammi was matched with a sponsor just like you, and is now studying at Miriam School! But there are many more just like her who still need your help.

Your child sponsorship of $54 per month can play an ongoing role in transforming a child’s life.

As a child sponsor you will receive:

  • A child profile card with a photo and information about your sponsor child.
  • Two letters from your sponsor child every year.
  • The opportunity to write back to your sponsor child as often as you want.
  • An annual tax receipt to allow you to claim a deduction in your tax return.
